Edited by: Shamis Orzoz on 25/03/2004 04:15:21 I'm in. The user interface is terrible on Yahoo. But it is the easiest way to get a private table without having to have everybody sign up or play for real money.
My only problem is that I can't figure out how to make sure everybody has the same amount of money when we start out, unless they all create new yahoo accounts every time we play (assuming that this event would continue). But I suppose we could make new accounts each time we played something like "mynameineveX" where X would increment each time we play.
And for the guy that is trying to organize the other poker game that will be "dealt by his own honest hands"...I realize that you are just trying to make money, but if you really want to make money on this deal you will have to do something like what Trev here is offering. Nobody trusts your "honest" hands. And I'm sure the Yahoo game is not bulletproof, but you'd have to do some hacking to tamper with it, and that's a lot of work for 50 million isk.
I respect MASS enough as a corp to not steal all the deposited money, but is there any chance we could get a GM, or polaris person to hold the isk until we are done? That would make this almost risk free to the players that want to participate.
But yeah, i'm definitely in assuming I don't have to be somewhere that day. Even if I have to trust my money with Trev for a bit.
btw, lets shoot for 10 players, and we'll all just play for an hour or 2 or until the last man is left.

Quote: Didn't understand what you implying there. My game is more see through?
He means that everybody can see the cards generated by yahoo, and we don't have to rely on the cards dealt by your own "honest" hands, which are not immediately visible to anybody but you...

Party poker works fine with eve. But it does cause some lag.
The problem with party poker is that I don't think there is a way to prevent people from just rebuying for more chips if we are at a play money table.

Edited by: Shamis Orzoz on 26/03/2004 19:52:28 Yahoo is not no limit, and the blinds are fixed, so eliminating people completely could be difficult. I suggest we set a time where we will stop if multiple players are left on the table. Then just give them their portion of the isk directly proportional to the number of chips they have left.

Trev is a little behind schedule getting the table setup, but he'll be there and I'll be there. Table should be setup shortly.
